Mistela is a drink made with white wine (contains sulphites), spices, orange peel and palm syrup. It is obtained after letting this mixture macerate for a period of time. To increase the alcohol content, grape spirit is also included. It is one of the most characteristic flavours of the island and leaves a sweet sensation on the palate that is ideal for after dinner.
